Fans in attendance for Saturday night’s game against the Colorado Avalanche received a Blackhawks calendar, as is customary for opening nights at the United Center.
What was anything but customary, however, was the calendar cover, which is graced by Marian Hossa, one of the Hawks’ newest and most expensive signees. Hossa graces the cover of the calendar in a Blackhawk jersey, which, of course, he’s never had occassion to wear, what with his July shoulder surgery and all.
So, fine. It’s a photoshop of Hossa into a Blackhawks jersey.
Or, is it? What we have here, ladies and gentlemen, is Marian Hossa’s face morphed onto Martin Havlat’s body.
Odd, considering Hossa was essentially signed to replace Havlat, the Hawks’ leading scorer a season ago.
