  1. SouthSideHawkMan says:

Hawks can certainly catch the Wings they have 3 more head to head games, but I don’t think they will.

  2. Cam says:

The Hawks would have to sweep the Wings to have any chance. More likely, they’ll finish 6-9 points back. Detroit has 4 more home games than Chicago does.

LA/Dallas goes to OT. Hawks now 1 point up on 6th, 2 up on 7th and 3 up on 8th. Detroit is not the proper focus right now.

  3. Marts says:

I’m not sure they will catch Detroit either but I’d prefer they look at who’s ahead of them than worry about what’s behind them. Striving to attain something is an easier motivation that trying to avoid something in my opinion.

  4. Cam says:

If the Florida game is any indication, the Hawks may finish 20 points behind Detroit.

And yes, I’m venting. Who wouldn’t after that embarrassing period. Hawks physically manhandled and no response.

  5. Cam says:

Next two periods show that the Hawks should’ve won by a dozen. Florida’s awful.

Most excruciating loss of the year, surpassing the debacle in Colorado.

    dagnabbit.

  7. ArlingtonRob says:

Considering the remaining schedule, my guess is the Hawks just flushed the playoffs down the Bemis.

Then again I’m as cynical as they come. We will all know more after tomorrow night.

  8. Cam says:

They should make the playoffs, but that loss pisses me off to no end. Florida had lost 18 of 23 and has almost no discernible talent.

Just have to remember that there were a few losses like this last season as well.
